June 17 --The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers to provide support to our many free patient service programs. All volunteers are asked to attend a fun, interactive, and informative training that will inform them about our patient service programs and enhance their skills in working with cancer patients and caregivers. The next training will be on Thursday, June 17 at two times: from noon to 1:00 p.m., and from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pre-registration is requested by June 11th. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed. The training will be at the American Cancer Society’s new offices, located at 6355 Riverside Ave. in Riverside. The training is free, and light refreshments will be served.
