  • May 1 -- San Bernardino Public Library Nutrition Class and Food Demonstration, 3–4 pm in Kellogg Room A at the Feldheym Central Library. Reach Out, a Local Non-Profit Organization, is offering a free nutrition series focusing on promoting healthy eating and active living to prevent and help decrease obesity and other related chronic diseases within our communities.

  • May 1-5--104th National Orange Show Fair –– Family fun with rides, Venardos Circus, entertainment, attractions, contests, parade and fireworks.  Radio Lazer’s Cinco de Mayo Festival with top name bands plus free admission.  More information at nosevents.com or (909) 888-6788

  • May 4 -- San Bernardino Public Library Friends of the Library Bag Sale will be held in the Friends’ Room located behind the Feldheym Central Library. The entrance to the Friends’ Room is near the loading dock at the rear of the library. The public is welcome from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Buy a grocery bag for only $2 and fill it up with your choice of books and other items.

  • May 4 -- San Bernardino Public Library Spring Book Fair, 1 – 5:30 PM at the Feldheym Central Library. Over 40 authors from throughout the Inland Empire will be at the event to sell and sign their books This is a good opportunity to meet authors who represent many genres, including fiction, non-fiction, science fiction, fantasy, poetry, children’s books, young adult books, local history, and mystery.

  • May 12 -- Fallen Fruit Arts Connection is creating a living artwork with the community’s participation! Upcoming events are taking place at The Norman F. Feldheym Central Library 555 W 6th St., San Bernardino, CA 92410 on May 12th, from 1-3pm and May 19th at The Garcia Center for the Arts 536 W 11th St., San Bernardino, CA 92410 from 12pm-3:00 pm   Activities will include a zine workshop (zine is short for magazine) to share our local stories around fruit, and “Endless Orchard” projects, which strive to build community through expanding public access to fresh fruit

This year the proceeds from the Gala will support Lestonnac's Veteran dental program which provides FREE fillings, extractions, bridges, crowns and dentures to Veteran’s in Southern California.

Also, you will build resiliency that will aid you and your organization’s effectiveness in our community.
