  • September 5 - The San Bernardino County Museum invites the public to visit the museum on Sunday, September 5 to enjoy a performance by the San Bernardino Symphony Trio in the amphitheatre from 2 to 4pm. This concert is included in paid museum admission.  The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands.   • September 9 - Volunteers Recruitment at the County Museum -- The Museum Education Division invites outgoing individuals to receive instruction in how to connect with visitors and interpret objects in the exhibits. An Orientation Workshop for weekday volunteers is scheduled for Thursday, September 9, 10:00 am-11:00 am, with training workshops Tuesday through Friday, September 14-17, from 9:00 am to noon. Orientation for weekend volunteers is Saturday September 11, 10:00 am-11:30 am.   • Sept. 10:  THE SAN BERNARDINO BLACK CULTURE FOUNDATION CELEBRATES THE 21ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE BLACK ROSE, HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS at the National Orange Show - Valencia Room. Social – 6 p.m. Dinner/Program – 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person or $600 for a table of ten Call Margaret Hill at (909) 991-6422 or (909) 864-3267 for tickets.

  • September 11 - Senior Curator of Geological Sciences Kathleen Springer will present a lecture, “The Great California Shakeout,” at 2pm at the San Bernardino County Museum.  This lecture is included in paid museum admission.  The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands.   • September 12: Photography workshop in Redlands -- Join San Bernardino County Museum Curator of History Michele Nielsen and professional photographer Terry Long for an informative afternoon roving photography workshop and architectural walking tour in downtown Redlands.  Participants will meet at the west side of the Redlands Bowl promptly at 2pm for the 2-hour tour and head out on foot to capture unique building features, interesting construction materials, and historic structures in the fall light.  For more information, call Michele Nielsen at (909) 307-2669 ext. 240.

  • September 16 thru 19 – 21st Annual Stater Bros Route 66 Rendezvous held in Downtown San Bernardino. Event times are Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Experience the largest cruisin’ classic car show featuring hot rods, muscle cars, customs, classics, trucks and vintage vehicles.   • September 18 – SB Economic Development Agency presents, “Frankie Avalon,” held at the California Theatre, 562 West 4th Street. Show time at 8:00 p.m. For tickets call (909) 885-5152.

  • September 18 - Come to the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands to enjoy beautiful views of the waxing gibbous moon through the telescopes of the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers from 7:30 to 9:30pm. This event is free to public.  “As a bonus, two bright planets will grace the sky,” said Chris Clarke, program coordinator. “Gleaming bright in the eastern sky will be Jupiter. Its four largest moons, the famed ‘Galilean Satellites,’ will be easily spotted, along with the colorful belts and bands of its outer atmosphere. A brilliant crescent-shaped Venus will also appear low in the southwest. Families can see and learn about telescopes by comparing the views through all the different types and sizes of instruments available. The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands.   • September 23 - Arrowhead United Way Young Leadership Council at 5PM.   • September 25 – 25th Anniversary Celebration Concert of Sinfonia Mexicana featuring Maestro Eduardo Diaz Munoz, San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, Violinist Martin Barboza, CSUSB Student and Instructor for Mariachi Youth Academy. Show time starts at 7:00 p.m. held at the California Theatre, 562 West Fourth Street. For tickets call (909) 884-3228.

  • September 25: Assemblymember Wilmer Amina Carter Hosts a Meet and Greet for James Ramos for San Bernardino Community College.  9:00 to 11:00 am at the El Rancho Verde Country Club, 355 East Country Club Dr., Rialto.  Donation: $75 per person & $100 per couple. RSVP 951.210.8460.

  • September 25 - The American Sports University sports department will conduct its first ever “Last Men/Women Standing Invitational Shoot-out”, three-on-three (3-on-3) basketball tournament for adults at the Rudy C. Hernandez Community Center located at 222 Lugo Ave. in San Bernardino.
